Notes from the studio

Selected studio milestones and development notes from Rather Unique Creations and Insane Train.

Beyond a single rail

Insane Train is being developed around a connected rail network in which terrain, momentum, and route choice shape how each path is approached.

The vehicle remains rail-bound, but the surrounding network allows more than one fixed line through a course. Forks, merges, crossings, and transfers create decisions that persist beyond a single turn: committing to one route determines the terrain ahead and the momentum carried toward the next connection.

Route design and terrain are therefore treated as one traversal system. Grades, drops, elevation changes, and biome-specific contours affect how a path is read, how speed is carried, and what a player must anticipate before committing. Together, those relationships define the broader game now in development at the studio.

Insane Train® is now a registered trademark

Trademark registration establishes the project’s public identity as development continues toward a future demo.

Rather Unique Creations has secured registration of the Insane Train trademark, establishing the name under which the studio will continue to present the project as development moves forward.

The focus remains on development: refining movement, terrain, connected routes, and the systems that will support a future demo. More will be shared when that demo is ready.
